If you have time to focus on Danish classes in July, our summer courses may be the perfect option for you. Classes are conducted online, so you can join us from Cairo – or Copenhagen! You can complete a whole level in July!

Our Fast-Track Summer Courses are quite intensive making it possible for you to complete one of these levels: Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3. Each level will conclude with a test at the end of the course.

This is a Fast-Track Online Course in July 2020 with a virtual classroom from Denmark taught by our native teacher Mette Hess with participants joining from all over the world.

Level options and practical info

Levels:           
Level 1 (CEFR: A1) Beginners
Level 2 (CEFR: A2) Intermediate 
Level 3 (CEFR: A2+) Intermediate+

Period: A total of 5 weeks (Week 27 – 31)
Monday 29th of June to Friday 31st of July – 2020

Lessons:         
Webinar 3 times a week with a duration of 2 hours each.

When:            
Level 1: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11.00 – 13.00
Level 2: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 13.30 – 15.30
Level 3: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 16.00 – 18.00

Test: Final test for completed course according to CEFR
The test will be conducted in week 31 on Thursday 30th of July and Friday 31st of July. You will receive a certificate according to your obtained CEFR level

Price:    DKK 2.500

Number of students: 10 – 12

Participant profile: We expect you to have:

  • A higher education or are studying
  • A good command of English
  • A basic knowledge of grammar 
  • A good internet connection
  • Time for 4 – 5 hours for self-study and homework per week

The Fast-Track online courses in April & May are planned with the goal that you can learn Danish at basic or at intermediate level in a period, where you may have a bit of extra time to focus on learning Danish.

How will classes take place?
The online classes will take place as webinars. The courses are thoroughly planned, and the teacher will guide you through a clear curriculum. 

Can I learn Danish pronunciation online?
From day one, there will be a focus on pronunciation, which will ease your communication with Danish speakers. At the same time, you will be working with reading, listening and communications strategies, exploring topics related to everyday life, work and education in Denmark 

How is the structure of the online classes/webinars?
When you meet online, focus will be on oral communication, essential grammar will be explained step by step and your vocabulary will get expanded.  Your teacher will present the homework, assignments and online exercises, which are planned for the time outside the virtual classroom.

What happens in between classes?
In between the online classes, you can send submissions to your teacher in various forms, written assignments, audio files or videos – and you will get written feedback from the teacher.

Will there be a test?
At the end of the course an achievement test will take place. You will receive a certificate indicating your level according to CEFR.
