Welcome to the Danish classes on AAU CPH Campus – Spring 2019

As an international student or staff member at AAU CPH, you are invited to attend Danish language classes on AAU CPH campus.

In the classroom we strive to combine learning Danish language with gaining insight into Danish culture, so you may make the most out of your time in Denmark.


Our programme at AAU CPH is designed for international AAU CPH students and international AAU CPH staff offering classroom instruction once a week on campus combined with 24-7 access to IA’s online learning platform and Danish study workshop on campus one afternoon weekly.

This semester, we offer both Fast-track January Courses, regular semester courses in February-June, Fast intro course to Essential Danish Grammar and Fast-Track Summer Courses in July.


Spring Semester Courses 2019:

In the spring semester of 2019, you can choose to take either one or two modules during the semester, depending on your level.

The first round of classes is about to end, but you can still join the second round of classes starting in week 17 (April 23, 2019).

Course start and period:

First round: Courses at all levels have started in week 6.
Module 1, 2, 3 & 4A: Week 6-15.
Module 5 : Week 6-23.

Second round:

  • Module 1, 2 & 3: week 17 – week 26, 2019
  •  Module 4A & 4B: week 17 – week 24, 2019

Days:  Tuesday


  • Module 1, 2 & 3:  16.30 – 19.25
    Each module consists of 35 lessons spread over a period of 10 weeks (3 ½ lessons per week).
  • Module 4A & 4B: 16.30 -19.05
    The whole module consists of 48 lessons spread over a period of 16 weeks (3 lessons per week). However, as module 4 is quite strenuous, it is divided in two. Each part – Module 4A & 4B – consists of 24 lessons spread over a period of 8 weeks.
  • Module 5: 16.30 – 19.25
    Consists of 48 lessons spread over a period of 16 weeks (most weeks 3 ½ lessons, some weeks 4 lessons and some weeks 2 lessons per week (planned in relation to the written and oral exams).


  • Module 1, 2 & 3: 1.080 DKK per module
  • Module 4A & 4B: 700 DKK per part – 1400 DKK for the whole module
  • Module 5:  1.400 DKK per module

You will receive information about payment prior to the start of your course.

For classes starting in week 17: April 8th, 2019.

We are flexible, so if you miss the deadline, just send us and email at aau-cph@iasprog.dk. Registration is not binding before payment has been made.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and will depend on space available. For each course, a minimum number of participants is required. IA Sprog reserves the right to cancel a course, if this minimum is not reached.


Fast intro course to Essential Danish Grammar:

As something new, we offer an introduction to Essential Danish Grammar explained in English for beginners.

The course will consist of 3 lessons and you can choose between courses in week 19, 21 and 22.

With this course, we intend to provide you with an overview of the Danish grammar and help those of you who find the grammar extra confusing.


  • Week 19: Tuesday, May 7, 16.15-18.45 or Wednesday, May 8, 14.30-17.00
  • Week 21: Tuesday, May 21, 16.15-18.45 or Wednesday, May 22, 14.30-17.00
  • Week 22. Tuesday, May 28, 16.15-18.45 or Wednesday, May 29, 14.30-17.00

Fast-track Summer Courses 2019:

In the summer of 2019, you can take a Fast-track Summer Course in July for university students and staff.

Modules: Module 1, 2, 3 and 4B

Course start and period: Week 27-31 (June 1st-August 1st, 2019)


  • Module 1, 2 & 3: 2 times per week, 16.00-19.00
  • Modul 4B: 2 times per week, 16.00-18.00


  • Module 1, 2 & 3: 1.080 DKK per module
  • Module 4B: 700 DKK (1.400 DKK for the whole module)

You will receive information about payment prior to the start of your course.
