Preparatory Adult Education (FVU)

Building up. FVU is a free service for adults with different ethnic backgrounds who would like to improve their reading, writing, and spelling.
Preparatory Adult Education is divided into four levels. At each level, the students work with spelling and grammar, and they read and write different kinds of text.

Level 2 is valid documentation for Danish language skills when applying for permanent residence and level 4 is valid documentation when applying for Danish citizenship.

You must take a written a test before you start at FVU. Please call tel. 4126 4282 or 3888 3233 for next test date.
Sprogcenter IA now also offers FVU classes on Saturdays.

IA Sprog offers FVU to students who:
▪ Have finished with language school and would like to learn more Danish
▪ Have in training and would like to be better at writing assignments
▪ Go to language school and want more instruction in reading and writing

Students who already attend a language school, must have passed one of these Danish modules in order to participate:
▪ Dansk Uddannelse (Danish Language Programme) 1 Module 6
▪ Dansk Uddannelse (Danish Language Programme) 2 Module 4
▪ Dansk Uddannelse (Danish Language Programme) 3 Module 3

Students can register for a written test after each level. Whether or not they take the test is up to the individual student. It is optional. If they pass the test, they receive a test certificate from Københavns Voksenuddannelsescenter / KVUC (Copenhagen Adult Education Centre).
